Can anyone try out for All-Stars?

Yes. Any eligible SGLL player who meets Little League International requirements may participate in tryouts.


How are players selected?

Players are evaluated by approved All-Star coaches during structured tryouts. Selections are based on overall player evaluation, team fit, competitiveness, effort, and baseball IQ.


Are All-Star teams “drafted”?

No. Teams are selected collaboratively by the approved All-Star coaching staff following evaluations.


Who approves the teams?

Final rosters are subject to Executive Board approval, with oversight from the League President to ensure policies and procedures are followed.


Is All-Stars a large time commitment?

Yes. Depending on tournament advancement, participation may require a 6–8 week commitment including practices, games, and travel.


What costs are families responsible for?

SGLL provides jerseys, hats, belts, and socks. Families are responsible for pants, travel, meals, lodging, and related expenses.


When do practices begin?

Practices may begin starting May 20 following team announcements.


What happens if schedules change?

Tournament schedules are controlled by Little League International and District officials. Updates will be communicated through SGLL channels as information becomes available.
